<br />325 CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES <br />326 SEPTEMBER 22, 1993 <br />327 PAGE SEVEN <br />328 <br />329 to sweep. <br />330 <br />331 The City Council acknowledge receipt of the complaint from 7173 <br />332 Grange View regarding the seal coat aggregate and will consider <br />333 the matter when considering future seal coating projects. <br />334 <br />335 Seed versus Sod - Front Yard. <br />336 Council member Helmbrecht noted Orville Hughes, Public Works <br />337 Director, brought to her attention that the property located near <br />338 the intersection of 73rd Street and Brian Drive has seeded versus <br />339 sodded their front yard. <br />340 <br />341 Tamara Miltz-Miller, Clerk/Administrator, noted that the <br />342 developer sold this lot to an independent builder. The City will <br />343 write a letter to the developer regarding the seed versus sod. <br />344 <br />345 OLD BUSINESS: <br />346 <br />347 Goals and Priorities - Economic Development. <br />348 Motion by Brenner, second by Wilharber to table discussion for <br />349 Goals and Priorities Economic Development until the next <br />350 appropriate City Council meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br />351 <br />352 Mayor Buckbee recessed the City Council meeting at 9:15 p.m. The <br />353 City Council meeting reconvened at 9:23 p.m. <br />354 <br />355 Economic Development Committee - Council Member Dario Update. <br />356 Council member Dario noted that he had attended the September 21, <br />357 1993 Economic Development Committee meeting. Council member <br />358 Dario noted that the Star City program is on schedule with a <br />359 completion date of September 1994. Council member Dario noted <br />360 that two businesses have expressed interest in locating within <br />361 the City of Centerville. Council member Dario noted the Economic <br />362 Development Committee discussed the importance of keeping the <br />363 present businesses, along with attracting new businesses. <br />364 <br />365 Council member Dario noted the Economic Development Committee ~s <br />366 requesting the following updates: <br />367 the status of the widening of Main Street and <br />368 Centerville Road; <br />369 the status of a second water tower to be located on the <br />370 south side of Main Street. <br />371 <br />372 Council member Dario noted that the Economic Development <br />373 Committee suggested the City of Centerville consider applying for <br />374 a MUSA extension now. <br />375 <br />376 Council member Dario noted that Kim Sanborn has resigned from the <br />377 Economic Development Committee and they will be seeking <br />378 applications for the opening. <br />
