Ms.
Pelton also requested a small stipend to help with day care costs
so that she can work diligently on the plan without
interruptions.

Ms. Pelton noted she plans to address the comments presented at
the public hearing. Ms. Pelton expressed it appears to be the
feelings of the general public that there is a need for an
improved pedestrian plan, plans for tot lots and a comprehensive
plan for organized sports.

Ms. Pelton noted a first draft of the Park and Trailway
Comprehensive Plan could be completed by the third week of
January, 1994. Ms. Pelton stated the plan will not be complete
without the review of the City Council, Park and Recreation
Committee and other City committees. After review from the
various City committees/commissions the plan would be forward to
Anoka County, the City of Lino Lakes and other governmental
agencies for comment.

Clerk/Administrator
comments:

Tamara

Miltz-Miller made the following

the property abutting Central Park is still being
seriously considered for expansion, but it is possible
the City Council may decide to not purchase the parcel;
the Grange View lot is no longer available and needs to
be removed from the plan;
the abutting property owners of
of Sorel Street have petitioned
that unimproved portion of Sorel

the unimproved portion
for the vacation of
Street.

Ms. Pelton expressed that she felt it would be ludicrous for the
City of Centerville to vacate that portion Sorel Street. Ms.
Pelton noted this section of Sorel Street is included in the Park
and Trailway Comprehensive Plan as a scenic overlook. Ms. Pelton
noted the intended use is in a non-intrusive way. Ms. Pelton
expressed to the City Council that just because a property owner
petitions for the vacation does not require the City Council to
grant their request.

Motion by Buckbee, second by Dario to authorize Carol 20ff Pelton
to continue to work towards a first draft of the Park and
Trailway Comprehensive Plan;
