Recommendation of Employee Review Board regarding the <br />67 combination of the Building Inspector/Public Works <br />68 Director position. <br />69 motion carried unanimously. <br />70 <br />71 APPEARANCES: <br />72 <br />73 Walter Neumann - Centerville Police Liaison Uodate. <br />74 Walter Neumann, Centerville Police Liaison, was present. Mr. <br />75 Neumann noted the total traffic offenses and incidents have <br />76 decreased. <br />77 <br />78 Mr. Neumann explained a Labor/Management Committee has been <br />79 approved to help minimize the internal conflicts. The complaint <br />80 would be taken up with the committee before being filed. <br />81 <br />82 Mr. Neumann also advised the contracts for the Police Chief David <br />83 VanBurkleo and Deputy Chief Joel Heckman have been approved for <br />84 the next two years. <br />85 <br />86 Council member Dario questioned whether the Circle <br />87 Pines/Lexington Police squad car, involved in the high speed <br />88 chase of the person with 15 D.W.I. convictions, was damaged. <br />89 <br />90 Mr. Neumann responded that the Circle Pines/Lexington police <br />91 squad car was not damaged in the incident. <br />92 <br />93 OLD BUSINESS: <br />94 <br />95 Flood Plain Reduction Project Establ ish Workim~ Committee: <br />96 Assessment hearinQ date: Imorovement hearinQ date: Aoorove <br />97 document to rescind oetition. <br />98 John Stewart, City Engineer, was present. Mr. Stewart noted an <br />99 assessment roll committee was previously established. The <br />100 committee is review the costs of the financing and provide <br />101 information for City Council consideration at the December 22, <br />102 1993 meeting. <br />103 <br />104 Mr. Stewart suggested the City Council wait until after the bids <br />105 are in hand to get all costs evaluations before setting the <br />106 assessment and improvement hearings. Mr. Stewart expressed this <br />107 should be known sometime in April, 1994. <br />108 <br />
