City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 13, 2008 <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Lee, to approve <br />Consent Agenda Item 7. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />None <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />Discuss Chapter 31: Departments, Boards, Commissions, and Committees <br />a. Schedule Interviews with Two Candidates for Parks & Recreation <br />City Administrator Larson explained that this centers around allowing candidates less <br />than 18 years of age to serve on a committee or commission. He stated that Chapter 31 <br />did not address this issue. <br />Mayor Capra explained she spoke to Councilmember Paar who would like this discussed <br />at the Joint meeting of City Council and the Planning and Zoning. He suggested perhaps <br />an auxiliary position be considered. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Lakso, to set up interviews with the candidates for the Park & Recreation <br />Committee. Motion carried. (2/1/1 -Mayor Capra opposed /Councilmember Lee <br />Abstained) <br />Consensus reached hold interviews on February 27, 2008 beginning at 6:00 p.m. <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />Considering House of Representatives Request to Adopt Resolution #08-0XX <br />Pertaining to Releasing Bonds for Transportation Funding in Minnesota <br />a.
