City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 13, 2008 <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, <br />to Approve Councilmember Lakso's attendance at MN Governor's Emergency <br />Management Conference March 11-13, 2008. Motion carried (4/1 Abstained - <br />Councilmember Lakso). <br />4. Approval of Mayor Capra's attendance at the Minnesota Mayors' Meeting May 2- <br />3, 2008 in Alexandria MN. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to Approve <br />Mayor Capra's attendance at the Minnesota Mayors' Meeting May 2-3, 2008 in <br />Alexandria MN not to exceed $600.00. Motion carried (4/1- Mavor Capra <br />Abstained). <br />5. Other: <br />a. 2008 Parade <br />Councilmember Lee reported rumors of County Road 14 work being done summer 2008. <br />He stated this causes unknowns regarding main street and to consider not having a parade <br />this year. He recommended the funds be rolled over for the 2009 parade or used for <br />youth events in the park. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Consensus reached by Council to place this issue on a future agenda. <br />b. Hidden Sprin s.~ Park <br />City Engineer Stats summarized the list of issues surrounding the completion of Hidden <br />Springs Park. He stated the two main remaining issues include the Rain Garden <br />plantings and the shoreline stabilization. He questioned whether Council would agree to <br />participate in the cost of materials above and beyond that of the original design. He <br />stated he would bring back design options and costs if Council is open to consider cost <br />participation. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Consensus reached by Council to consider the cost sharing of materials based on <br />approval of design options and cost to the City. <br />XL ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Lakso to adiourn the February 13, 2008 City Council Meeting at 7:45 p.m. All in <br />favor.
