City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 13, 2008 <br />_IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br />1. City Administrator Larson <br />a. Property Assessin.~ Proposal -Interview? <br />City Administrator Larson reported that Mr. Kenneth Tolzmann, Senior Accredited <br />Minnesota Assessor, submitted a proposal to conduct the City's assessment. He stated he <br />would like to schedule him to meet with the Council at the next meeting. <br />City Attorney Glaser encouraged Council to not wait to do this as other cities are also <br />considering this action. <br />Consensus reached to have a contract ready for approval at the next City Council <br />meeting. <br />b. Clean Water Legacy Grant -- $249,500 (Downtown Redevelopment <br />City Administrator Larson reported the City received the Clean Water Legacy Grant, <br />from the Board of Soil and Water Resources, MN Department of Agriculture. He stated <br />this grant was written by Bonestroo. <br />c. Set Date: Joint Committee/Commission/Council Work Session <br />Consensus reached to hold the Joint Committee/Commission/Council Work Session on <br />February 28, 2008, the alternate dates are April 2 or 3. Mayor Capra tasked City <br />Administrator Larson to send an email to all committee/commission for input. <br />2. Mayor Capra -Update <br />a. Rush Line Corridor Letter of Support for Federal Funds <br />Mayor Capra passed out a request for a letter supporting the Rush Line Corridor from <br />city mayors. She explained that they are looking for federal funding for the park and ride <br />facilities to be built. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Motion by Mavor Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee, to Approve Rush Line <br />Corridor Letter of Support for Federal Funds. Motion failed (1/3 -Mavor Capra <br />voting in favor). <br />3. Approval of Councilmember Lakso's attendance at Minnesota Governor's <br />Emer.~ency Management Conference March 11-13, 2008. <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
