City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 26, 2008 <br />None <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. 2008 Fete des Lacs -City Funding (Festival/Fishing Contest) Parade? <br />City Attorney Glaser reported that he reviewed the funding requests and stated everything <br />is appropriate and legal for the City to spend money on. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar, <br />to approve the 2008 Fete des Lacs -City Funding for the Festival/Fishing Contest <br />per the City Attorney's approval. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Lee commented that the County has not responded with information on <br />the approval for the parade to date. <br />City Administrator Larson commented the County would probably sit on the application <br />until it knew whether or not the contractor would dig into the road or they would just <br />deny the application. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Consensus was that Councilmember Lee would talk to the Parade Chairperson about <br />options. <br />2. Inspector/Project Coordinator Position <br />3. Draft Ordinance for Deferment of Special Assessments <br />City Administrator Larson reported Items 2 and 3 were placed on the agenda for <br />consideration. The items were on the last work session, but due to time constraints, they <br />were not discussed. The Council is free to table or defer this item until a work session. <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard-Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar, <br />to defer the Inspector/Proiect Coordinator Position and the Draft Ordinance for <br />Deferment of Special Assessments to a City Council Work Session, date to be <br />determined. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Resolution #08-011, Ordering a Public Hearing on the 2009 Street Improvement <br />Pro, ect. <br />City Administrator Larson called attention to the draft resolution calling for a Public <br />Hearing on the 2009 Street Improvement Project. <br />Discussion ensued. <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />
