CITY OF CENTERVILLE MONTHL Y ENGINEER'S REPORT For June 11,2008 City Council Meeting Italics = New information. Normal = No change from last report. 1. 21st AvenuelBackage Road (000616-05143-0). The Contractor has an agreement with the City to have all the remaining stockpile material to be removed by the end of August. Contractor has afew cleanup items that will be taken care of this month and the Record Plans will be delivered to the City this month also. Once all work has been approved the project will be recommendedfor Final Payment. 2. Old Mill Road Improvements (000616-06147-0). All remaining work for the project is anticipated to be completed in June. The Contractor has some punch list work and to finish the wear course. Record Plans will be delivered to the City this month. Once all work has been approved the project will be recommendedfor Final Payment. 3. Centerville Townoffice Park 2nd Addition (000616-06152-0). Project punch list has been forwarded to the Contractor. The Contractor plans on finishing all punch list items and wear course paving this month. Once all work is completed and accepted by the City and Record Plans are acquired we will recommend Project Closeout. 4. Clearwater Creek Estates (Hanzal Property) (000616-06154-0). All work is complete. Seed germination will be evaluated in the spring prior to release of surety. The contractor will be on site as soon as road restrictions are lifted to correct the wetland mitigation grading and reseed the area. 5. Hidden Spring Park (000616-07155-0). Mark Statz attended the June Parks and Rec. Committee meeting to discuss the contractor's proposal for completing the work designed by Gregg Thompson. The contractor had proposed a much larger gabion than the one shown on Gregg's drawings. The parks committee did not want something this large and asked that the contractor resubmit a proposal which included a gab ion sized between their original proposal and that of Mr. Thompson. The contractor had also suggested doing the work in late summer when the water levels were down. The parks committee understood this concern, but for a number of other reasons, will ask that the contractor begin as soon as possible. 6. Comprehensive Plan (000616-07157-0). The Comprehensive Plan was approved for jurisdictional review on April 9th. The City is receiving comments and responding as appropriate. The next step will be to submit the plan to the Metropolitan Council Review. 7. 2009 Street and Utility Improvements (000616-07158-0). A final work session to discuss the scope of the project is set for June 1 dh. It is anticipated that a decision to move forward with plans and specs (for the agreed-upon scope) would be made at the June 11th City Council meeting. 8. CSAH 14 Construction Services (000616-07159-0). Weekly meetings are still ongoing and the Contractor has started to do a significant amount of work.
