<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City of Centerville <br />Ci ty Council he Id their regular meeting on Wednesday, May IJ, 1987 <br />at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7100 P.M. <br />Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Laska. Absent: Neumann. <br /> <br />Correction to the April 22, 1987 City Council meeting minutes, page <br />six. third paragraph to read: -Motion by Fritchie, second by L'Allier <br />that per the recommendation of Orville Hughes, Public Works Director, <br />the City of Centerville will not participate in the Summer Youth <br />Program in 1987, motion carried unanimously." <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to accept the minutes of <br />the April 22, 1987 meeting with the above correction, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to accept the minutes of the <br />April 29, 1987 special informational meeting, motion carried <br />unaninimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS & COMPLAINTS <br />Clerk advised Council of citizens complaints of junk car(s) on <br />the property of Ken Salin, 1716 Heritage Street. Mayor L'Allier <br />has spoken to Mrs. Salin & will have the junk car(s) removed <br />within a few days. <br /> <br />Clerk advised Council of citizen complaints of long grass on <br />existing vacant lots. It was agreed that as in the past, the <br />City property with this problem will be mowed by Dan Tourville. <br />If private property is involved the City will send a letter to the <br />property owner requesting the problem be corrected. <br /> <br />Clerk advised that trucks hauling construction materials to <br />Centerville Road have been stopped by private property owners on <br />Peltier Lake Drive & told they could not drive on Peltier Lake <br />Drive. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by Fritchie to direct residents to contact <br />the Lino Lakes Police Department if they question the legality of <br />vehicles on any City Street ve~sus attempting to stop the vehicle <br />in question themselves. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Residents expressed concern over excessive speeds being driven on <br />Peltier Lake Drive & Mill Road: <br /> <br />Bill Svetin, 1687 Peltier Lake Drive <br />Pete Johnston, 1585 Peltier Lake Drive <br />Carol Pelton, 7178 Mill Rd. <br />Richard Thompson, 1657 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />Council members assured residents the stop signs, 25mph speed <br />zoning & curve speed caution signs would be in pla~e after issue <br />of whether to dead end Peltier Lake Drive is decided. William <br />Hawkins, City Attorney commented that speed bumps would increase <br />the liability of the City if made part of these roads.. <br />
