<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 28, 1987 <br />page three <br /> <br />it intersects with Centerville Road, thus stopping west bound <br />traffic; <br />-a stop sign will be placed on west Center Street where it <br />intersects with Dupre Road, thus stopping east bound traffic; <br />-a stop sign will be placed on east Center Street where it <br />intersects with Dupre Road, thus stopping west bound traffic; <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk will contact Paul Rude, Anoka County Department of <br />Transportation to request that a stop sign be put up on the <br />intersection of Center Street and County Road 54, and that the <br />stop sign on the intersection of Center Street and Centerville <br />Road be moved closer to Centerville Road. <br /> <br />City Engineer updated the Council on the progress on the L~Allier <br />Estates II development. <br /> <br />Discussion of water meters for homes. City Engineer recommended <br />an interior meter to be read on the outside. He also recommends <br />that the City collect a meter deposit fee from the homeowner, <br />which would cover the cost of the meter. If the homeowner were <br />to move the deposit fee would be refunded and collected again <br />from the new homeowner. <br /> <br />Discussion <br />path, put <br />Road. <br /> <br />of proposal of Centennial Schools to stripe a walking <br />up no parking signs, and park two buses on Progress <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to request a plan or <br />drawing of what is intended on Progress Road from Centennial <br />Schools before any action is taken by the school regarding this <br />proposal, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Dale Larson, Public Works Employee questioned City Engineer on <br />problem spot abutting 1657 Peltier Lake Drive. City Engineer <br />noted that it appeared that gasoline had been spilled in that <br />spot and that he recommends that City wait until spring to see <br />how this spot looks and take action at that time if necessary. <br /> <br />Council member Fritchie suggested that the City look into the <br />possibility of decreasing utility bills for Senior Citizens. <br />Clerk will get a listing of the persons who pay sewer billing and <br />distribute this to Council member Laska and then to Mayor <br />L'Allier who volunteered to review the list to attempt to <br />determine who may be Senior Citizens. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber to stagger terms of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, Centennial Fire Commission and Park and Recreation <br />members. <br />
