<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />City Council held their regular meeting on Wedne8day~ September <br />23, 1987 at City Hall. Mayor L~Allier called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 p.m. Present: Laska, Fritchie, Wilharber, <br />Neumann. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the September 9, 1987 Road Reconstruction assessment hearing, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second <br />the September 10, 1987 <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />by Neumann to accept the minutes of <br />regular meeting, motion carried <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br />Council member Neumann noted that there is a street light burned <br />out in the Royal Meadows playground. Clerk will report this to <br />the appropriate electric company. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber advised that the City will not have <br />future use of the fire truck or firemen to flush sewer systems. <br />However, the City can have access to a tank from the fire <br />department for these purposes. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to request that the County <br />do another traffic study on the corner of Goiffon Avenue and Main <br />Street and investigate the possibility of a three way stop on <br />that corner also, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber also brought up cleaning the sewers and <br />the amount of dirt, and road waste in the sewer system. City <br />will have City Engineer look into this further and have Valley <br />pay for cleaning these out if appropriate. <br /> <br />Council member Fritchie brought up stop and speed signs on <br />Peltier Lake Drive. Clerk will put this on the next agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to direct the City Clerk <br />to contact Anoka County to investigate why the speed limit signs <br />in the westerly direction on Main Street are not the same as the <br />easterly direction, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Clerk noted several complaints of children playing in the <br />streets, especially on Center Street and Peltier Lake Drive. <br />Clerk will discuss this with Dean Campbell, Chief of Lino Lakes <br />Police Department. Mayor LrAllier asked that representatives of <br />the two papers also pick up on this and stress safety. <br /> <br />Richard Thompson, 1657 Peltier Lake Drive appeared to advise that <br />he now has a drainage problem in front of his home and requests <br />the Council take action on this. Council member Wilharber <br />recommended that the Council wait to address this until the City <br />Engineer arrived. It was the consensus of the Council to agree <br />with this recommendation. <br />
