<br />page six <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 23, 1987 <br /> <br />Meeting was recessed at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Meeting resumed at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />Archie Gay, <br />discuss the <br />Department. <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />Centennial Fire Department Fire Chief was present to <br />12.3% increase requested by the Centennial Fire <br />A copy of this written proposal is on file with the <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie that using the 1988 total <br />for the proposed Centennial Fire District Budget of $191,414.00, <br />the City of Centerville~s portion would be $15,313; $15,313 will <br />be allocated toward the Centennial Fire District in the 1988 City <br />of Centerville Budget; $300.00 of this is to go toward a capital <br />equipment fund, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie to appropriate a monetary stipend to Buster <br />LaTuff Chairperson of the Fire Commission, per the recommendation <br />from the City of Circle Pines that the Cities in the joint powers <br />agreement appropriate $1,200 for an annual stipend. <br /> <br />City Clerk noted that the letter from the City of Circle Pines, <br />which recommended this stipend appears to be referencing future <br />Chairpersons of the Fire Commission. A copy of this letter is on <br />file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Council member Fritchie withdrew the motion for a monetary <br />stipend to Buster LaTuff. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to table the monetary stipend <br />for present and future Chairpersons of the Fire Commission <br />pending clarification of the letter from the City of Circle Pines <br />regarding this, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to adjust the footage for <br />Tracy and Katherine Tratar, 1710 Peltier Lake Drive, PID# 14-31- <br />22-34-0017 from 170 feet to 144 feet, as 126 feet along <br />Centerville Road which abuts the Tratar property was not <br />improved, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to adapt a resolution <br />recognizing the accomplishments of the Centennial School District <br />for their National Award for Quality Eduction, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I- <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to table discussion of <br />appointment of a new Employee Review Board representative; aye: <br />Wilharber, Laska; nay: Fritchie, L~Allier; abstain: Neumann, <br />motion did not carried. <br />
