Page 9 - City Council
Meeting Minutes
May 13, 1987

The discussion of charges for City services will be tabled until
the May 27, 1987 City Council meeting.

Gene Wegleitner, of Wegleitner's Addition appeared before the
City Council to show his final plat, which was approved by the
City Council in 1982. He has never registered this final plat
with Anoka County. He claims that the land either was zoned
commercial at the time his plat was approved, or was to be zoned
commercial after the plat was approved. City Clerk and City
Engineers can find no record of the land in question ever being
zoned commercial. It does state on the Wegleitner's Addition
plat that the land is "proposed" commercial. City Clerk and City
Attorney also note that Ordiance #8 specifies that all final
plats be registered with Anoka County within 60 days of the final
plat approval from the City Council. City Council requests that
the City Engineer review the final plat, which is now expired, to
determine if the grading plan is still consistant with current
and future development in that area. City Council then requests
that the Planning and Zoning Commission review the City
Engineer's findings and determine whether Mr. Wegleitner should
be granted a variance in regard to his expired plat or whether he
must start over and replat, holding a public hearing, etc.
Unless Planning and Zoning finds that the land in question is or
should be currently zoned commercial, they will set up a public
hearing to have this land rezoned per Mr. Wegleitner's request.

Concern was expressed as to whether Spring Clean Up day notice
were printed in the paper. City Clerk will check on this. Per
Council request City Clerk will also check with the Scouts to see
if they would like to coordinate their clean up day with May 16,
1987 City Spring Clean Up.

John Stewart, City Engineer, presented the Plans and
Specifications for Center Oaks II to the City Council. He
advised that this is for their review and will be asked to
approve or disapprove the plans at the May 27, 1987 City Council
Meeting.

Motion by Fritchie, second by L'Allier
for a lift station on Lot 15, Block 4 of
carried unaniously.

to make a City easement
Center Oaks II, motion

Motion by Laska, second by L'Allier to make payment of current
claims, motion carried unanimously. Receipts and Disbursements
are attached to and made a part of these minutes.

Motion by L'Allier, second
motion carried unanimously.

by Robischon to adjourn the meeting,
Meeting ajourned.
