<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof~ the City of Centerville <br />City Council held their regular meeting on Wednesday, August 26, <br />1987 at City Hall. Mayor L~Allier called the meeting to order at <br />7:08 p.m. Present: Fritchie, Wilharber, Laska, Neumann. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the August 12, 1987 regular City Council minutes, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Neumann to accept the minutes of <br />the August 18, 1987 budget meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br />Tom Snell of the Anoka County Chamber of Commerce appeared to <br />inform the City Council of a Trade Expo to be held September 9th <br />and 10th, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the downtown Minneapolis <br />Auditorium. The next Trade Expo will be held in late February or <br />early March of 1988. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br />Letter of complaint was received by Charles and Lisa LeMay, 6620 <br />20th Avenue South, Hugo regarding the hours of operation of dump <br />trucks from L & G Rehbein, Inc. This letter is on file with the <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to refer the complaint <br />letter from Charles and Lisa LeMay regarding L & G Rehbein <br />trucking hours to the Planning and Zoning Commission for <br />recommendation, aye: L~Allier, Fritchie, Wilharber, Neumann; <br />nay: Laska, motion carried. <br /> <br />Letter of complaint was received by Maureen Asleson, 7232 Mill <br />Road and Myra Spijer, 7200 Mill Road advising that they felt that <br />much of the pertinent information was left out in the August 12, <br />1987 regular meeting minutes. This letter is attached to and <br />made a part of these minutes. Clerk read excerpts from City <br />Clerks Manual, which is prepared by the Municipal Clerks and <br />Finance Officers Association of Minnesota, and distributed by the <br />League of Minnesota Cities. A copy of the excerpts are <br />highlighted and made a part of these minutes. Clerk advised <br />that if audience members do object that their concerns were not <br />addressed in the minutes, a letter of complaint presented to the <br />Council regarding these concerns would be attached to the minutes <br />at the following meeting. Clerk also advised that the current <br />minute taking is consistent if not more detailed with custom of <br />past Clerks and surrounding communities. Any change to the style <br />of minute taking with regard to audience comments and feelings <br />would have to be a Council decision to change City policy. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct Clerk to <br />contact the owner of 6923 Tourville Circle to request that he <br />remove the two willow trees in the boulevard on that property as <br />soon as possible as this is a potential safety hazard with regard <br />to the children in the area who play around them, motion carried <br />
