<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />Page Eight <br />August 12, 1987 <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to approve a 3.2 beer <br />permit for the Lions Club Baseball Tournament scheduled for <br />August 28, 29, and 30, 1987, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Laska, second by <br />$5.00 per day fee for the <br />for the use of Central Park <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Fritchie to waive the $25.00 plus <br />3.2 beer permit, and the $200.00 fee <br />for the Baseball Tournament, motion <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to table discussion of <br />increase in fees for services, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to table discussion of a <br />monetary stipend for the Chairperson of the Fire Commission to <br />look at what a reasonable amount would be for this stipend and to <br />see what other cities are doing, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Wilharber to direct Northern States <br />Power to put in an electric pole on the west side of LaMotte <br />Drive in order to get electricity into Central Park which is on <br />the east side of LaMotte Drive, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to clarify that the cost <br />per baseball tournament is $200.00; Jerry Jolly's request that he <br />be refunded a portion of that $200.00 because he only used <br />Central Park one day versus the whole weekend is denied, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Laska to refund <br />$200.00 damage deposit to Jerry Jolly for <br />baseball tournament on August 8, 1987, <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />$100.00 of the <br />the unscheduled <br />motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Fritchie to direct City Clerk to <br />send a letter to Jerry Jolly outlining the reasons for not <br />funding the full amount of the damage deposit to Mr. Jolly, and <br />emphasizing that the option to pay for unscheduled ball <br />tournaments will not be available in the future, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Wilharber to approve the Senior <br />Citizen Transportation program joint powers agreement between <br />Lexington, Circle Pines, Centerville and Lino Lakes, pending the <br />City Attorney's review and approval of this agreement, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Clerk advised Council of extension of hours and asked for <br />suggestions. Clerk will contact Debra Gonsior of 1343 Mound <br />Trail to inquire as to whether she would be interested in <br />returning as a temporary part time person and what wage would she <br />
