City Council Meeting
Minutes
July 22, 1987
Page Six

objectives of this Task Force as he has dealt with the
Metropolitan Council, particularly regarding Centerville, and
they do not seem to respond to realistic issues and concerns.

Motion by Neumann, second by Robischon that the City of ~ity
Centerville endorse the current Task Force of Cities which is
addressing concerns regarding the Metropolitan Council, and
request that Council member Fritchie continue to participate
actively in this Task Force, motion carried unanimously.

Clerk will contact Hart Homes and Castle Design to again request
that trees be put up in Royal Meadows and Peltier Lake Hills 2nd
Addition respectively in mid October, a response is requested by
August 12, 1987.

Council member Fritchie reported on the Joint Powers meeting
that she attended regarding the Centennial Fire District. It was
discussed that the Joint Cities would like to go with last years
budget with a slight increase. She noted that a major point of
discussion was Station #2, the costs to put this into operation,
and concern that Lino Lakes does not appear to want to expend
monies to do this.

Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to have the City Clerk attend
the Levy Limit Seminar in St. Paul 7-23-87, motion carried
unanimously.

Clerk advised Council that Lake Sanitation requests that the
monthly rate increase of $2.00 be raised to $2.44. The old rate
was $7.56, a $2.00 increase would make the monthly rate $9.56; a
$2.44 increase would make the monthly rate $10.00. Lake
Sanitation advises that this is what they charge for Lino Lakes
and Hugo and that it would greatly simplify their bookkeeping.

Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to allow Lake Sanitation to
increase the monthly cost to residents to $2.44 versus $2.00 as
granted at the July 8, 1987 City Council meeting, motion carried
unanimously.

Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to appoint Tom Wilharber as
Council person to carry out the term of resigning Council member
Robischon; effective July 23, 1987, pending confirmation from Tom
Wilharber; motion carried unanimously.

Council member Neumann will not be able to attend the October
Planning and Zoning Commission meeting that he is liaison for and
will give that month to Tom Wilharber in exchange for the liaison
responsibility for the month of August.
