<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />City Council held their meeting on Wednesday, July 8, 1987 at <br />City Hall. Mayor L~Allier called the meeting to order at 7:00 <br />p.m. Present: Fritchie, Laska, Neumann. Absent: Robischon. <br /> <br />Council member Neumann advised that the motion on page four, <br />paragraph seven of the June 24, 1987 City Council meeting minutes <br />should read: Motion by Laska, second by Neumann to grant a 3.2 <br />beer permit with a fee of $25.00 plus $5.00 for one day, total <br />$30.00) Mr. Suchy must pay $400.00 damage deposit which will be <br />refunded if Mr. Suchy or a representative of Waterworkes signs an <br />agreement to the above listed requirements and if the City <br />Council feels he has complied with the requirements as stated in <br />these minutes, motion carried uanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the June 24, 1987 with the above correction noted by Council <br />member Neumann, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br />Council member Neumann advised that there are several unimproved <br />properties not taken care of on the Royal Meadows development, <br />the weeds have grown up and are unsightly. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Laska to have City Clerk notify Hart <br />Homes to request that they mow the weeds on the unimproved lots <br />of Royal Meadows, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Neumann noted that the street light is not in on <br />the corner of Main Street and Highway 54 as of yet. Clerk <br />advised that she has been advised that Northern States Power who <br />has been working on getting a street light there found out today <br />that is the property of Anoka Electric Co-op. Clerk will contact <br />Anoka Electric Co-op and begin the request process again. <br /> <br />Council member Laska requests that the Public Works Department <br />remove the brush piles for Harold Leibel, 1475 Mound Trial as he <br />is a senior citizen of Centerville and has difficulty removing <br />the piles. Clerk will have Public Works Employees take care of <br />this. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann that if Orville Hughes <br />Public Works Director needs to come to a City Council meeting, he <br />will be first on the agenda and will be paid for one hour or and <br />addition time if appropriate; Mr. Hughes will contact the City <br />Clerk or the Employee Review Board for concerns if the concerns <br />can be handled by these persons at the meeting, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Orville Hughes, Public Works Director advised Clerk to advise <br />Council that he is in need of a City Pickup Truck. Council <br />member Laska will become active in the search for such a truck. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to write a letter to Kenco <br />
