<br />City Council Meeting <br />Minutes <br />Page Two <br />July 8, 1987 <br /> <br />Construction informing them that they are responsible for all <br />address notifications to suppliers/contractors, cost for policing <br />the road due to this noncompliance will be the responsibility of <br />Kenco Con8truction~ motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier advised that Ken Carpenter of 7137 20th Avenue <br />North complained that the Kenco Development is at a 2-1 slope and <br />feels that this is incorrect. John Stewart, City Engineer will <br />check on this tomorrow. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second <br />scheduled City Council meetings <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />by <br />to <br /> <br />Neumann <br />end at <br /> <br />to limit regularly <br />11:00 p.m., motion <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br />Gary Groehn of Abdo, Abdo, and Eieh presented a proposal to the <br />City Council to payoff the 1976 improvement bonds for sanitary <br />sewer. He advised that the fees for doing this would be about <br />$6,000.00, but that there would be no fee to have them look into <br />the feasibility of doing this. It may be more appropriate to <br />wait to actually payoff the bond until after the November tax <br />levy. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Fritchie to give authorization to <br />Abdo, Abdo, and Eich to work with the City Clerk to look into the <br />feasibility of paying off the 1976 improvement bonds, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to change the name of <br />Clearwater Ridge on the L'Allier Estates II development to Clear <br />Ridge, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of L'Allier Estates II development. City Engineer <br />advised that $10,000.00 is needed for the plans and <br />specifications, that $1,200.00 has accumulated in fees for the <br />preliminary design for street compatibility, and that an <br />additional $12,000.00 to $16,000.00 will be needed for staking <br />and inspection of the project. Gerry Parent of Parent <br />Construction advised that the costs of Maier, Stewart and <br />Associates, Inc. is to high and requests the Council to allow him <br />to hire his own engineer for the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Laska to allow Parent Construction <br />to hire an engineer of his choice for the L'Allier Estates II <br />project with the understanding that Maier, Stewart and Associates <br />is still responsible as the City Engineer to review the plans and <br />specifications and inspect the construction of the project for <br />the City of Centerville, aye: L'Allier, Neumann, Laska; nay: <br />
