<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville <br />City Council held their meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 1987 at <br />City Hall. Mayor L~Allier called the meeting to order at 7:05 <br />p.m. Present: Fritchie, Laska, Robischon, Neumann. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of <br />the May 27, 1987 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br />Orville Hughes, 1793 Center Street advised that Kenco <br />Construction drove on his property when grading for the new home <br />that is to go in on the lot next to him. He advised that some <br />personal property was damaged. Clerk advised that Kent Roessler <br />of Kenco Construction has contacted the City Hall and advised <br />that he will take care of the damages. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Ken Carpenter, 6885 20th Avenue South appeared before the Council <br />to advise that he feels the Center Oaks II development will <br />compound his drainage problem, and that the ditch they are <br />proposing to run the excess water through used to be a County <br />ditch, but now is his private property. He also mentioned that <br />he did not have a drainage problem until L&G Rehbein filled a <br />ponding area on their property. <br /> <br />Clerk advised that Kenco Construction requests an extension to <br />June 17, 1987 for their final plat. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Neumann to extend the final plat <br />approval of Center Oaks II to June 24, 1987 with the stipulation <br />that a representative of Renco Construction be present at that <br />meeting to address the Rice Creek Watershed permit granted to <br />them and the ownership of the ditch which is to be used for <br />drainage, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council requests that Maier, Stewart and Associates, Inc. also <br />look into this, in addition to L&G Rehbein and the question of <br />why the pond was filled on that property and if the necessary <br />permits have been granted to them. <br /> <br />Pam Henderson of Maier, Stewart and Associates, Inc. presented <br />the feasibility study for Centerville Heights. Ms. Henderson <br />advised that Metropolitan Council may only grant the 10 acre <br />proposed sewered area of Centerville Heights that has been <br />requested, versus all of the areas originally asked for the the <br />Comprehensive Sewer Plan Amendment. <br /> <br />Discussion of municipal water. John Johnson and Dick Wedell were <br />present representing Centerville Heights. They stated that the <br />project would proceed even if the 10 acres requested for sewer <br />were not granted by Metropolitan Council. They also stated that <br />both the L'Allier Estates II and Centerville Heights project <br />would have to use the municipal water system to make the system <br />economically feasible for the users and the developers. <br />
