<br />r <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />January 14, 1987, at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, <br />Laska, Neumann. <br /> <br />Clerk administered the oath of office to Mayor L'Allier and <br />Councilmen Laska and Neumann. <br /> <br />Mayor L'Allier welcomed the new members of the Centerville <br />Ci ty Co uncil. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes <br />of the December 22, 1986 meeting, aye - L'Allier, Fritchie, <br />Robischon, abstain - La;ska, Neumann, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />None <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to ask the City <br />Engineer to look over the roads in Centerville and recommend <br />to the Council which roads need maintenance attention this <br />summer, what that maintenance would be and the costs involved, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Laska to have the City Clerk <br />contact the City Attorney referencing names of appraisers, <br />how many appraisals should be done, if larger parcels should <br />be appraised; Clerk will then order appraisals not to exceed <br />the amount of $2500.00, motion carried unanimously. Clerk <br />will get a time frame for results from appraiser. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to hire Dale Larson <br />as the new part time maintenance employee effective immediately <br />at a rate of $6.50 per hour, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Clerk will keep the other four applicants interviewed on file <br />for one year. <br /> <br />Motion by Neumann, second by Laska to 'accept the maintenance <br />agreement with the Nicholson Company with the stipulation <br />the checklist attached to their proposal be done on each <br />maintenance check, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Laska questioned when the fire department would <br />be making room for the city truck to be parked in the garage. <br />Assistant Station Chief Mohler stated the use of the garage <br />to park fire vehicles is outlined in the Joint Powers Agreement. <br />He also mentioned additional fire vehicles would soon be <br />moved to the Centerville location. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Laska to make the following <br />appointments for 1987: <br /> <br />HEALTH OFFICER - Anoka County Comprehensive Health Department <br />HEALTH OFFICER #1 - Walter Neumann <br />HEALTH OFFICER #2 - Floyd Laska <br />OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY - First State Bank of Hugo & Twin City <br />Federal Savings & Loan - Maplewood. <br />
