<br />Page Two - City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />February 25, 1987 <br /> <br />Discussion on repair of sweeper. Council decided to table <br />until September. If unit will be used for rink and can <br />get parts, then will repair in the Fall. <br /> <br />Clerk will check on availability of road base from Ashbach <br />and Midwest Asphalt. No grading will be done for now. <br />The City plow is not to be used for grading in the future. <br /> <br />Fire Departments jeep is presently parked in the warming <br />house as the rink is closed down for the season. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Neumann to send letter from <br />council to local senators and representatives in support <br />of the future of the Community Development Block Grant <br />program, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Discussion of security system for equipment area of the <br />warming house. Issue was tabled until future of new city <br />hall was determined. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Neumann to pay current claims, <br />motion carried unanimously. A copy of the receipts and <br />disbursements is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Neumann to recess for 15 minutes, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Meeting reconvened at 8135 P.M. Presentation by City Engineers <br />John Stewart and Terry Maurer of a new time line delineating <br />needs to accomplish road reconstruction in 1987. <br /> <br />Discussion on eliminating the north end of Mill Road from <br />the proposed area of reconstruction. This stretch of road <br />does not yet have sanitary sewer and consists of larger <br />parcelsi. Motion by Robischon, second by Fri tchie to direct <br />the engineers to drop that section of Mill Road from the <br />last sanitary sewer manhole at Peltier Lake Drive north <br />to the Centerville - Lino Lakes border from the proposed <br />area of reconstructionJ aye - Neumann, Laska, Robischon, <br />Fritchie; abstain - L'Allier; motion carried. <br /> <br />City Engineers and City Clerk will discuss with the City <br />Attorney the advantages and disadvantages of using tax increment <br />financing for the Harstad Development of the property north <br />of Main Street and east of Mill Road. <br /> <br />Appearance of Kent Roesseler, Kenco Construction Co. Mr. <br />Roesseler is interested in platting Center Oaks Addition #2 <br />and would like to use Centerville's City Engineers to do a <br />feasibility study. The City Engineers would be willing to <br />do the feasibility study at the direction of the City Council <br />as City Engineers. <br />
