...... The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 8, 1976 at 7:00 pm, in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: Burque, L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. Attorney Hawkins arrived at 7:)0 pm. Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings held August 11 and 25, 1976, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Leon L'Allier made a motion to grant John Peterson a variance on Ordinance 10, paragraph 2, Section F, Side-Yard Requirements, on the addition to his garage at 1798 Main Street, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. John Peterson made a motion to dispense with the second reading of the proposed Mobile Home Ordinance, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion caEried. Attorney would look at proposed ordinance and report at October meeting. Mr. Frank Hentges appeared before council with proposal to subdivide hi s 5 acre piece of';" property on Mill Road to include his lot which he has already built a house and 2 lots of approximately 1 acre apiece. Consensus was for Mr. Hentges to draw up a preliminary plat of only one 2 acre lot and submit it to the council for approval. Elmer Murray made a motion to grant Mr. Harold Leibel a variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the following property described as follows to allow Mr. Hal Leibel to build a body shop: Commencing at a point in the East line of Government Lot 5, Section 15, Township )1 North, Range 22 West, distant 23).17 feet south of the northeast corner of said Government Lot 5 (said East line of Government Lot 5 bears S o degrees 21' 37" East for the purpose of this description); thence N 70 degrees 43' )0" East, a distance of 594.03 feet to the point of beginning; thence S 0 degrees 21' 37" East, a distance of 237.48 feet; thence N 70 degrees 43' 30" East to the shore of Peltier Lake; thence Northerly along the shore of said Peltier Lake to an intersection with a line extending on a bearing of N 70 degrees 43' East from the point of beginning; thence S 70 degrees 43' 30" West to the point of beginning, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Anoka County Health Department has informed clerk that the Swine Flu Immunization Clinic will be held in Centerville at the Elementary School on Wednesday, October I), 1976 from 4:00 - 9:00 pm. This clinic is for citizens of Centerville over 17 years of age. Clerk informed council filing for city offices will be open from September 21 - October 5, 1976. The offices open are Mayor - 2 year term; Councilman - 2-4 year terms and 1-2 year term. They can file at the clerk's home at 1581 Peltier Lake Drive from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, on the dates given. Budget meeting is called for Monday, September I) at 7:00 in the City Hall.
