<br />'1 r: r, <br />i i ~-) <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their <br />regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 14, 1976 in the City <br />Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 10:)0 pm. <br />Present were Councilmen L'Allier, Murray and Peterson. Absent: <br />Burque. Also present Bill Hawkins, Attorney for the city. 1 <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of meetings <br />held June 9 and 2), Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Hearing on Mobile Home ordinance will be postponed until <br />the !t-~7 ff meeting. <br /> <br />Clerk has received Revenue Sharing Check for $692. Elmer <br />Murray made a motion to deposit the check in the First State <br />Bank of Hugo in the form of savings certificate for 30 months <br />at 6~% interest compounded quarterly, John Peterson seconded <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read following communications: Letter from Frank <br />Marzitelli concerning Anoka County Road #54 being used as a <br />haul road for the transportation of road materials for Trunk <br />Highway #96, letter from Metro Council advising us the April <br />1, 1976 population figure for Centerville has been revised to <br />56jl, notice of hearing on the proposed adoption of rules of the <br />Metro Council governing the review of proposed matters of <br />metropolitan significance to.be held on Monday, July 19,1976, <br />at~1:30 pm in the Metro Council chambers, letter froID_the Anoka <br />County Council of Economic Opportunity informing us that they <br />have applied on our behalf to administer the housing rehabil- <br />itation grant program to assist low income homeowners in <br />securing money to do needed repairs on their houses, infor- <br />mation letter from Metro Council concerning the same subject <br />as the Anoka County letter, letter from North Central Public <br />Service informing us of a rate "increase effective July 28, <br />1976, in natural gas billings of approximately 1.012~ per <br />hundred cubic feet which would amount to about a 5.5% increase <br />over current rates or $16.70 annually to an average residential <br />customer. <br /> <br />1976 Police contract with Lino Lakes was discussed. The <br />contract calls for costs of $18.65 per capita resulting in a <br />quarterly cost to Centervi11e of $2,890.75 or $11,563. annually. <br />John Peterson made a motion to accept the 1976 Police contract, <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Lewis Hendricks, Tree Inspector for Centerville, has <br />informed Clerk of 2 trees which are diseased, on City property. <br />Clerk was to get 2 bids on removal of trees and report at next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />County Auditor has informed City of the primary election <br />to be held on Tuesday, September 14, 1976. Leon L'Allier made <br />a motion to hold primary election on September 14 and polls <br />will be open in Centerville at the City Hall from 12:00 noon <br />to 8:00 pm, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. John <br />Peterson made a motion to employ 3 judges for election at $2.50 <br />per hour, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. Clerk will <br />name judges at next meeting. <br />
