<br />1 ~ Cl <br /> <br />~ -' , <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held a special <br />meeting on Wednesday, May 26, 1976 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were Burque, <br />L'Allier and Peterson. Absent: Murray. <br /> <br />Petitions and Complaints: Mr. and Mrs. Rogowski were in <br />attendance advising council of their problems in delivering the <br />St. Paul papers to residents of Centerville. <br /> <br />The clerk read resignation letter from Dan Skoog, Director <br />of -the Centerville Emergency Services. <br /> <br />Clerk advised, council on the quotes from 2 flagpole sales <br />businesses. John Peterson made a motion to accept quote of $225. <br />from Flagpole Sales in Stillwater, Fran Burque seconded it, motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />It was noted that there is a need for trash barrels by the <br />Twin Lakes Country Club and also for the Little League ballfield. <br />Clerk was to call Morley Transfer in Forest Lake for same. <br /> <br />John Savety of Forest Lake appeared with request for a 3.2 <br />beer permit for a Women's Softball Tournament to be held on June <br />12 and 13 at the ballfield adjoining the Twin Lakes Country Club. <br />John Peterson made a motion to grant a 3.2 beer permit for the <br />above tournmaant, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />Fee for permit was $5.00. <br /> <br />The new fire- truck was to be delivered on Thursday, May 21, <br />at approximately 4:30 pm . <br /> <br />Clerk read Resolution 76-11 which is attached to these <br />minutes, being Resolution Accepting Equipment. John Peterson <br />made a motion to pass resolution, Leon L'Allier seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Complaints were noted on the dusty roads, policing in town <br />and clerk was to call telephone compnay about the debris left / <br />in the ditch by the telephone repair men on Mill Road and Main St. \ <br />Fran Burque suggested some dirt be placed on Peltier Lake Drive <br />by the culvert between Bohne's and Fritche's homes. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sarner, Clerk at Lino Lakes, had called and requested <br />a meeting be set up between the Lino and Centerville councils. <br />It was agreed to meet Monday, June 7th at 8:00 pm in the Center- <br />ville hall. (Since then, the meeting has been cancelled). <br /> <br />Fran Burque made a motion to purchase a 2-stall voting <br />booth unit from Miller Davis Company, Leon L'Allier seconded <br />it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Frank Everhard and John Houston were in attendance to <br />discuss the Centerville sewer improvement plan. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adjourn meeting, Elmer <br />Murray seconded it, motion carried.
