<br />f ~ 'r <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their \./ ~ <br />regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 11, 1975 in the <br />City Hall. M~yor Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. <br />Present were ~urque, L'Allier, Murray, Peterson and Attorney <br />Hawkins. <br /> <br />The clerk read the minutes of meetings held May 14, 20, 28 <br />and June 4, 1975. Fran Burque made a motion to accept minutes <br />as read, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. John Peterson <br />made a motion for clerk to send out copies of minutes of meetings <br />held and dispense with the reading of them at meetings, Elmer <br />Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Council was in agreement that <br />streets in city needed grading and LaValle Excavating was to <br />be contacted on doing same. <br /> <br />Residents were in attendance from Brian Street complaining <br />about condition of same. Wanted the road graded and put in <br />driving condition. <br /> <br />Report from Building Committee on concrete slab in front <br />of fire door. They have received two bidsl <br />Stevens Construction - 4" slab with drain hook up <br />$825. - 6" slab $75 extra <br />Henry Miers - 6" slab with drain, 6" bell $1920. <br />Consensus was to get more information from Stevens on bid and <br />if acceptable give the bid to Stevens. <br /> <br />Mayor asked council for suggestions on how the $788 due <br />Centerville from Anoka County should be used. As of now, cleaning <br />manholes in Centerville was only one. <br /> <br />MR. Carley from Carley Engineering presented detailed map <br />and estimates on construction costs for sewering Centerville as <br />follows: 3 lift stations on plan, 13 miles of pipe; 42,000' <br />or 8t miles for main sewer lines, 18,000' or little less of <br />4 miles for house stubs, 8000' or It miles for force main. <br />Costs: Core area of city - $1,770,000., Mound Trail $201,000., <br />Parent-Schilling Estate Development $84,000. f Center Oaks Develop- <br />ment $241,000., Force main and lift stations $185,000., House <br />stubs $1~5,000., street rebuilding $150,000., Total $2,298,000. <br />The construction costs equal about 3g% of total cost. Mr. Carley <br />was going to take plan to Sewer board and report back to council <br />after doing so. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes patrolman brought in police reports for May. <br />Discussion was held on party at 735, 20th Avenue on June 6 and <br />attorney advised us to write letter to occupant advising him of <br />the consequences of such a party. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from Meyer and Hiniker notifying us that <br />aclaim is being filed against the Village of Centerville by Gary <br />R. Barott for accident which occured on June 3, 1975 at the ball <br />park. <br /> <br />Mayor read ordinance from Shoreview on developers installing <br />their own street lights and poles at their expense in new <br />developments. Matter tabled. <br /> <br />Mr. Zimny appeared before council advising he would be <br />willing to be Centervillets Fire Marshal. Decision tabled <br />
