<br />?Q <br />__' . J <br /> <br />The City Council of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, February 12, 1975 in the city hall. Mayor Prachar called <br />the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were Burque, L'Allier, <br />Peterson. Murray and Attorney Hawkins arrived late. Rep. Neisen <br />was in attendance at meeting and reported on what he is going to <br />attempt to accomplish during his term in office. He is holding <br />meetings with the Anoka County delegation on the 2nd Friday of <br />the month in Room 22 of the State Office Building and the 4th <br />Saturday of the month in a designated community to go over issues <br />pertaining to the residents of Anoka County. <br /> <br />Clerk read minutes of meetings held January 8 and 22, 1975. <br />No corrections or additions so minutes stand approved as read. <br /> <br />Police Chief Myhre came in with January police reports for <br />Lino and Centerville and list of Lino Lakes Police Officers. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council of no reponse to letter written on <br />December 18, 1974 to Mr. Frank Murphy, owner of 7124 Pro~ress <br />Road, and advised them of our writing a registered letter to <br />him re-enforcing our position. Registered letter would also be <br />sent to Mr. Welsch in Arizona and Mr. Strehlow in St. Paul asking <br />for their cooperation in taking care of their particular problem. <br /> <br />Flood Insurance: We have received a new map showing areas <br />of Centerville that are subject to flooding. If we do not make <br />application for flood insurance and make flood insurance available <br />to residents of Centerville or people coming into community to <br />re$ide, residents would not be eligible for any Federal assistance <br />in building or buying homes in flood designated areas. John <br />Peterson made a motion for the City of Centerville to apply for <br />flood insurance, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Parent-Schilling Estates: We have received notification <br />of hearing set for Friday, February 21, 1975 at 9:00 AM in Blaine <br />City Hall. In the meantime, clerk received letter from Meyer and <br />Hiniker enclosing check for $148.38 which represents Mr. Parent's <br />half of city's incurred costs on plot plan. Mr. Hiniker hoped <br />the city would accept Parent's check. Discussion was held and <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to initiate action against James <br />Schilling for his half of the $296.75, John PEterson seconded it, <br />motion carried. All action against Jerry Parent would be dropped. <br /> <br />Attorney Hawkins had reviewed current Curfew Ordinance and <br />suggested dropping Section 5 and giving it a number, namely #3. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to send copy of Ordinance 3 to the <br />Lino Lakes Police Department to advise Lino Lakes police of the <br />ordinance existence and advising them to use ordinance if occasion <br />for enforcement arises, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter from Norm Fritchie advising council Fire <br />Department wishes paragraph 11 included in current fire contract <br />with Lino Lakes. John Peterson made a motion to submit contract <br />to Lino if deleted paragraph in question is determined to be legal <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br />
