<br />page two <br />City Council meeting <br />Minutes - October 12, 1977 <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Committee recommends a variance be granted <br />on the following piece of property in the name of Royce and Lyn <br />Arvidson: <br />That part of Government Lot 6, Section 15, Township )1, Range <br />22, Anoka County, Minnesota described as followsl Commencing <br />at the intersection of the South line of said Government Lot <br />6 and the ~ast line of the West 412.5 feet thereof; thence <br />North 55 degrees 00 feet 35 inches East (assumed bearing) a <br />distance of 770.25 feet on a line which would intersect the <br />East line of said Government Lot 6 distant 715feet South of the <br />Northeast corner thereofc and said point being the point of <br />beginning of land to be described; thence continue North 55 <br />degrees 00 feet 35 inches East on same described line to its <br />intersection with the East line of said Government Lot 6; <br />thence Southerly on said East line to the shore line of <br />Centervil1e Lake; thence Southwesterly along said shore line <br />to a line which bears South 20 degrees 26 feet 4) inches East <br />from the point of beginning; thence North 20 degrees 26 feet <br />4) inches West to the point of beginning; said land being a <br />part of Lot 15, Auditor's Subdivision #46, Revised. <br />There is a house existing on the property and its a matter of <br />Mr. Leibel selling Mr. Arvidson a lot containing the house. <br />Property was divided because of an acquisition of County Park. <br />Fran Burque made a motion to grant variance to Ordinance 15, <br />Section 6, paragraph 10, Leon L'Al1ier seconded it, motion <br />carried. Variance is granted upon recommendation from Planning <br />and Zoning with stipulation that further lot splits on parcels <br />of property be allowed only when submitting a plat on the re- <br />mainder. <br /> <br />John ~eterson made a motion to issue the Centerville Fire <br />Department a 3.2 beer permit for Saturday, October 29, 1977 <br />from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm for their annual booya, with a fee <br />of $5.00, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Clerk read Ordinance 29, AN INTERIM ORDINANCE REGULATING THE <br />USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF AND WITHIN THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE PLANNING PROCESS AND THE HEALTH, <br />SAFETY AND WELFARE OF THE CITY. John Peterson made a motion <br />to adopt Ordinance 29, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br />Ordinance #29 is attached to and made a part of these minutes. <br /> <br />John Peterson made a motion to authorize Mayor Prachar handle <br />the bids for the warming house and accept the lowest bid based <br />on the plans and specs, Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Estimate #11 from C. W. Houle Landscaping was discussed. Elmer <br />Murray made a motion to retain 5% on estimate making the total <br />amount due of $35,289.75 on estimate, Fran Burque seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />~ <br />
