<br />( <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville met on Wednesday, <br />September 14, 1977 in the City Hall. <br /> <br />The clerk read the notice of public hearing on the preliminary <br />plat of L'Allier Estates. Said public hearing began at 8:05 pm. <br />The plat was discussed and consensus was that Lots 1 and 2, <br />Block 2 would not be allowed to build upon until there is access <br />to a city street. This stipulation should be made a part of the <br />final plat. John Peterson made a motion to accept L'Allier <br />Estates preliminary plat, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />Final plat should be presented up to and including December 14, <br />1977. Hearing was adjourned. <br /> <br />The clerk read the notice of public hearing on the proposed <br />use of Revenue Sharing Funds for the fiscal year 1978, the <br />amount being $3834.00. After considerable discussion, Leon <br />L'Allier made a motion to designate the Revenue Sharing Funds <br />for Park and Recreation, earmarked for the tennis courts cost, <br />John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. Hearing was adjourned. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday, September 14, 1977 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 8:25 pm. Present were. <br />Burque, L'Allier, Murray, Peterson and Attorney Burke. Minutes <br />of meetings held August 24, 30 and September 6, 1977 were <br />approved by Elmer Murray, motion seconded by John Peterson, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br /> <br />Complaints were heard from Al L'Allier concerning stump to the <br />north of his house to be removed; seeding to be done on his pro- <br />perty; Ed LaBossiere on the repair job on his blacktop driveway; <br />hedge should be replaced on Wilfred Dupre property; discussion <br />on where the irons are supposed to be placed or replaced on the <br />lot; petition read by the clerk, "request the City of Centerville <br />to take over the street light at 1393 Mound Trail which benefits <br />the following property owners: Floyd Laska, Russel Ritter, Diane <br />LeTendre and Pearl LeRoux. Clerk was to check with NSP on their <br />intentions of moving or not moving the line when Mound Trail is <br />vacated and report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />The tennis court application was discussed. Clerk read notific- <br />ation from the Office of Local and Urban Affairs received Sep- <br />tember 7 that our grant application for two tennis courts had <br />been acce~ted totaling $14,620. with 50% being funded by the <br />state or $7,310. Floyd Kruger made presentation to council <br />with the following proposal of funds available: $500. Lions <br />Club, $250. Centerville Fire Department, $50. Fire Chief Salary, <br />$960. Park Fund money, $3834 Revenue Sharing Money leaving a <br />balance to be raised of $1716. John Peterson made a motion to <br />authorize Mayor and Clerk to instruct City Engineer to dFaw up <br />plans and specs for tennis courts, Leon L'Allier seconded it, <br />motion carried. Norm Fritchie gave summary on tabulation of <br />quotes for the court surface and fencing that had been gathered <br />by the Park & Recreation and Tennis Court Committee. Elmer <br />Murray made a motion for the city to enter into the project <br />agreement, #77A-5 with the State of Minnesota, John Peterson <br />seconded it, motion carried. Engineer is to b~ing plans and <br />specs to September 28 meeting for discussion. <br /> <br />~ <br />
