<br />page three <br />Ci~ Council meeting <br />minutes - August 24, 1977 <br /> <br />Mayor presented cost estimate for tennis court lighting compiled <br />by the engineer running from $3600 to $4500. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council of public hearing to be held on Wednesday <br />September 14th concerning proposed use of 1978 Revenue Sharing <br />monies. <br /> <br />Mayor advised council engineer had suggested that the city obtain <br />a standby generator for use in the operation of the sanitary sewer. <br />Engineer had two quotes: 45 KW - 45000 watts with Ford Motor <br />no trailer $6500.00; 55 KW - 55,000 watts with power take off, <br />no trailer $4000.00. Possible rental on these would be $100. <br />a day or $300. a week. Elmer Murray suggested that the Mayor <br />look into the matter further and report at next meeting. <br /> <br />Engineer had also suggested approaching someone to be a maintenance <br />man for the city in connection with sewer work. Harvey Cartier <br />and Orv Hughes were named. This matter would be looked into further. <br /> <br />Mrs. Knabe's trees on her property had been inspected and found <br />7 trees in danger of being damaged by the sewer construction. Mrs. <br />Knabe had requested a letter from the city stating they would assume <br />responsibility for these trees for a period of one year. Leon <br />L'Allier made a motion for the city to assume responsibility for <br />these 7 trees from the date the line went through her proper~ for <br />a period of one year, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br />Clerk is to check with Nick for the construction date. <br /> <br />Mayor informed council he had checked with Mr. Ruud of Highway <br />Department in Anoka County with the possibility of building a <br />warming house on the end of the county garage, when the gravel <br />would be placed on Mound Trail and the possibility of the county <br />improving the condition of Centerville Road from Main Street to <br />Heritage street and the placement of curb and gutter along same <br />street. Mr. Ruud advised that the policy of the county was to pay <br />half of the expense leaving the other half to the city. <br /> <br />Clerk informed council of public hearing to be held on Wednesday <br />September 14 on the preliminary plat of L'Allier Estates. Clerk <br />would contact interested parties. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to adjourn meeting, Elmer Murray <br />seconded it, motion carried.
