<br />~ <br />( <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting on Wednesday. August 10. 1977. Mayor Prachar called <br />the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were Burque. L'Allier. <br />Murray and Peterson. <br /> <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to accept minutes of meeting held <br />July 27. 1977. Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS. <br />Mrs. Ruth Knabe of 7241 Main Street appeared before council <br />with request for reimbursement on the tree which has been <br />removed from her yard with dutch elm disease. Elmer Murray <br />made a motion to reimburse Mrs. Knabe $215. for the disposal <br />of said tree, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Dis- <br />cussion was held on four other trees on same property which <br />were disturbed during sewer construction. Clerk was to check <br />with engineer to see whether City or Houle is liable for these. <br /> <br />Bill LaLonde appeared with questions concerning his mother's <br />property, Leon L'Allier requested engineer to look at sod by <br />the manhole in front of his. house. Clerk was to check with <br />engineer on these problems. <br /> <br />Frank Hentges appeared with request for subdivision on the <br />Numen Peterson property. Council explained the density <br />provisions in the rural service area which is consistent with <br />;tae Metro Council guidelines and request for subdivision was <br />denied. <br /> <br />Clerk was to report to Marv Myhre on the disturbance of the <br />loud speaker used at the Twin Lakes Pavillion and the abandoned <br />vehicles on Heritage and Progress Road. . <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the tennis court application which <br />was sent July 18, 1977. No answer received as yet. <br /> <br />Meeting has been set up for Tuesday, August 30 at 7.00 pm <br />on the City budget for next year. <br /> <br />Clerk read the proposed retail on-sale wine license ordinance. <br />Fran Burque made a motion to advise Robert's Restaurant of the <br />charge for license and if she is interested, to hold formal <br />hearing at next meeting on proposed ordinance, John Peterson <br />seconded "it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter received from the School District <br />on a proposal submitted to the Minnesota Council on Quality <br />Education. Clerk was to check and ask for clarification on <br />proposal and type of endorsement they need on same. <br /> <br />The Lawcon and State Preliminary applications for year 1978 <br />was discussed. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council of request for extension on the Center <br />Oaks project. Elmer Murray made a motion to grant a 60 day <br />extension for the Center Oaks project from August 10 to October <br />10, 1977. Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />
