<br />/ <br />( <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Centerville held their regular <br /> <br />meeting on Wednesday, May 11, 1977 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: Burque, L'Allier, <br />Peterson, Murray and Attorney Hawkins. <br /> <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept minutes of April 27, Leon <br />L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Complaints were heard on speeding on <br />Mill Road, Mill Road residents wanting their street oiled and <br />condition of Henrich lawn after sewer line was put in. <br /> <br />Mayor Prachar read letter from John Boland of the Metro Council <br />advising us our Systems Statement would have to be transmitted by <br />June 23, 1977. Discussion was held on changing the population <br />figure in the Systems Statement. Walt Williams was instructed <br />to come up with some figures and report to Lu and she in turn <br />would call Mr. Ranta at the Metro Council and she would report <br />on same at next meeting. <br /> <br />Council advised that the Centerville Interim Comprehensive Sewer <br />Plan would be submitted to the Physicial Development Committee <br />on Thursday, May 12 in the Metro Council chambers. We had been <br />advised of this by Karl Burandt. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on putting up a fence across our park area <br />on Cedar Street. Council had been advised of the Chain of Lakes <br />Proposed Burning Site and clerk was to check and see when it <br />will be in operation. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on a smoke alarm ordinance for the city but <br />Attorney Hawkins advised of a bill in the legislature that is <br />pending on the same and it might be made part of the building <br />code. <br /> <br />Clerk advised council she had heard from Ed Brown of the Minn. <br />Department of Transportation concerning the speed limit on <br />Peltier Lake Drive. Consensus was to have a 30 mile per hour <br />speed limit on the road, get a bigger "dead end" sign and place <br />a sign toward the top of the crest of the hill advising of <br />site distance on same. <br /> <br />A request" from Al L'Allier was heard concerning a variance on <br />a piece of property he owns and one of Gary Savela, 7254 Mill <br />Road, Plat 27814, Parcel 8600. Fran Burque made a motion to <br />grant a variance to Ordinance 15, Section 6, paragraph 10 on the <br />following piece of p~operty: <br /> <br />Tract G: That part of the North half of the Southwest quarter of <br />the Southeast quarter of Section 14, Township Jl North, Range 22 <br />West, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at <br />the Southwest corner of the Ni-sw*-SEt of Section 14, thence East, <br /> <br />~ <br />
