Mayor presented council with resume of 1977 police costs for Lino Lakes and Centerville. The contract cost for Centerville is based on $21.96 per capita cost x 620 population equalling $13,615.20 or $3,40).80 per quarter. Elmer Murray made a motion to approve cost on contract, John Peterson seconded it, motion carried. The new contract will be sent to us later this month. Mayor Prachar read portions of letter from the Anoka County Council of Economic Opportunity asking for financial support. Matter was tabled. Clerk read the following amendment to Ordinance #15- ORDINANCE 15, Section 16, Paragraph A - Subparagraph 1. STREET LIGHTING. In single and multiple family developments, the developer shall install residential ornamental street lights and custom poles as recommended by Northern rStates Power Company or Anoka Electric Cooperative, or comparable street lighting fixtures and poles as recommended by City Engineer. In commercial or industrial developments, the developer shall install commercial or industrial metal poles and fixtures as recommended by Northern States Power Company or Anoka Electric Cooperative or comparable street lighting fixtures and poles as recommended by the City Engineer. Subparagraph 2. STREET NAME AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNS. In single and multiple family developments, the developer shall install all street name signs and traffic control signs as deemed necessary by the City Engineer. This means an approximate increase of $33.80 annually, or 10.6% to the average residential customer.
