Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville met on Wednesday, October 25, 1978 at 7:00 pm <br />In the City Hall. Present were: Burque , L' Allier , Laska , Murray, <br />Attorney Hawkins and .engineer Williams, <br />Mr. Larry Bailey, HUD representative, Tom Ludkin , Department of <br />Natural Resources and Jim Jacques from the Army Corps. of Engineers <br />discussed Centerville' s flood insurance proposal, They explained <br />the elevation and data used to determine the information found on <br />the City's flood plain map, the basis for determining the "100 <br />year flood", the cost to homeowners purchasing flood insurance, <br />and the city's responsibility if they wish to appeal the findings <br />before the Flood Management is adopted. <br />Mayor Prachar called the regular meeting to order at 8:30 pm. <br />Leon L' Allier made a motion to accept the minutes of the October <br />llth meeting, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br />Clerk read letter from Walt Williams concerning the final payment <br />to C. W. Houle Landscaping on the sanitary sewer project, Dis- <br />cussion was held due to the number of complaints that have been <br />registered with the clerk and council members on residents not <br />being able to find their stub in the location drawn on the as - <br />built sheets prepared by the engineer. Floyd Laska made a motion <br />to hold up the final payment to the contractor until some of the <br />questionable hook-ups are made and other problems settled, Leon <br />L' Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />Clerk advised council the final payment of Revenue sharing <br />funds of $960. for Entitlement Period Number Nine has been <br />received by the City. Entitlement Period #9 monies has previously <br />been designated for Parks and Recreation. <br />The Assessment Agreement between Centerville and Anoka County <br />was discussed. This agreement for assessing done by Anoka County <br />would run through July of 1984. Elmer Murray made a motion to <br />approve agreement, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />Walt Williams presented council with plans for the street <br />restoration project. They were looked over by council and <br />will require further study at future meeting. <br />The hearing for consolidation of Lino Lakes and Centerville <br />was discussed. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to adjourn meeting, Fran B urqu e <br />seconded it, motion carried.
