Pursuant to due call and notice thereof , the City Council of <br />the City of Centerville held a regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />October 11, 1978 in the Centerville City Hall. Mayor Prachar <br />called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present: Burque, <br />L'Allier, Laska and Murray. <br />Francis Burque made a motion to accept minutes of meeting <br />September 27, 1978, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br />PETITION AND COMPLAINTS: Several complaints on the black - <br />topping job done on Centerville Road by the County, <br />The petition to consolidate the municipalities of Centerville <br />and Lino Lakes was discussed. Elmer Murray made a motion to <br />adopt a Resolution against the petition, Fran Burque seconded <br />i t , roll call taken: Prachar, , aye; Burque, aye; L' Allier , <br />aye; Laska, aye; Murray, aye, motion carried. Copy of <br />Resolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes, <br />Mr. Ivan Barott of 7121 Main Street has requested permission <br />to remove curb in front of his apartment buildings to put in <br />a driveway for resident parking. Clerk will contact County <br />on same for their recommendation. <br />Discussion was held on the skating rink construction. <br />Ordinance #22 was discussed and amendment added to same, <br />Leon L' Allier made a motion to adopt amendment to Ordinance <br />#22, Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br />Fire Department has previously been contacted on the removal <br />of a diseased elm tree on City property and will do job for <br />cost of $100. <br />Mr. Andy Gibas , publisher of the Circulating Pines, was in <br />attendance and addressed the Council on Community Spirit, <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to accept the following property <br />tax levy for the City of Centerville payable in 1979 as follows: <br />BONDED INDEBTEDNESS - General Obligation <br />$79O80e0O <br />NON -BONDED INDEBTEDNESS LEVY: <br />General Revenue <br />$1,o42.00 <br />Road & Bridge <br />1, 600.00 <br />Firemen' s Relief <br />200.00 <br />Civil Defense <br />100.00 <br />Recreation <br />850.00 <br />Shade Tree Disease Con, <br />1,500.00 <br />Public Safety <br />89000.00 <br />Fire Protection <br />2 , 950.00 <br />TOTAL NON -BONDED INDEBTEDNESS LEVY <br />169242900 <br />GRAND- TOTAL MUNICIPAL LEVY <br />$239322900 <br />Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. <br />
