page two - City Council <br />meeting minutes - August <br />239 19'78 <br />Mr. Don Bumgarner from the Twin Lakes Pavillion appeared before <br />council with reference to the damage done on his property due <br />to sewer construction. Clerk was to contact the Engineer to <br />look into the problem, <br />Clerk advised council she has received the last payment of <br />Revenue Sharing funds on Entitlement Period Nine in the amount <br />of $958. which has previously been designated for Parks and <br />Recreation. <br />Public Hearing will be set for Wednesday, September 13, 7:30 pm <br />in the City Hall to discuss the proposed uses of the Revenue <br />Sharing Funds of Entitlement Period Ten. <br />Clerk advised council of primary and general elections to be <br />held in the City on September 12 and November 7, 1978. She <br />has five election judges available for these dates. Leon <br />L'Allier made a motion to pass resolution adopting the appointed <br />judges suggestedby clerk at a rate of $3.00 an hour, Fran Burque <br />seconded i t , motion carried, Resolution is attached to and made <br />a part of these minutes, <br />Council discussed the Centennial School District's Long -Range <br />Capital Improvement Program and were in agreement with the <br />program objectives. <br />Budget meeting was set for Thursday, September 7, 1978 at <br />7:00 pm in the City Hall. (Later changed to Monday, September <br />11. 197$•) <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion to instruct Anoka County Highway <br />Department to plow snow on the city streets for the winter <br />of 197$-79, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Resolution <br />adopting this motion is attached to and made a part of these <br />minutes and clerk will advise Anoka County Highway Department <br />of same. <br />Discussion was held on the purchase of an underground 560 gallon <br />gas tank and electric pump for the fire department. Clerk has <br />contacted Anoka County Farm Bureau Service and the price of <br />such tank and pump would be $446-50. Leon L'Allier made a <br />motion to purchase tank and pump from the Farm Bureau, Fran <br />Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />Leon L'Allier gave report on the Park Committee findings on <br />the erection of a new skating rink. Matter will be discussed at <br />September 13th meeting, <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to adjourn meeting, .Amer Murray seconded <br />it, motion carried.
