Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville held a public hearing on the <br />proposed street restoration project in the City Hall on <br />Wednesday, August 9, 1978. Mayor Prachar called the <br />hearing to order at 7:30 pm. Present: Burque, L'Allier, <br />Laska, Murray, Attorney Hawkins and Engineer Williams. <br />Clerk read letter from HUD stating why the City of Center- <br />villb' s pre -application did not qualify for a grant. <br />The project as proposed, Plan A revised was discussed. <br />This includes: <br />(1) This plan includes one-half the cost to complete <br />Centerville Road. <br />(2) The following streets will have 2" of bituminous <br />pavement and bituminous curb except portions <br />of <br />Heritage, Mound Trail and Mill Road which will <br />not <br />have bituminous curb: <br />Centerville Road (Heritage to Westview) <br />1800 <br />feet <br />Peltier Lake Drive (County Road #14 to <br />east end) <br />3970 <br />feet <br />Heritage (LaMotte Drive to 225' east of <br />Progress) <br />1410 <br />feet <br />Brian (Main Street to 700' south) <br />1400 <br />feet <br />Sorel (Goiffon to Progress) <br />475 <br />feet <br />Westview (Centerville Road to 250' west) <br />350 <br />feet <br />LaMotte Drive (Heritage to south city limits) <br />2250 <br />feet <br />Goiffon (Heritage to Main) <br />600 <br />feet <br />Progress (Heritage to Main) <br />1200 <br />feet <br />Mound Trail (County Road X14 to west city <br />limits) <br />3195 <br />feet <br />Mill Road (Main Street to urban service <br />district) <br />4370 <br />feet <br />The following streets will have two applications of oil <br />and sand plus the addition of 2" of crushed rock: <br />Mill Road (Urban Service district to north <br />city limits) 2080 feet <br />TOTAL FRONT FOOTAGE TO BE ASSESSED 23,100 feet <br />Floyd Laska made a motion to adopt Resolution directing <br />Engineer to draw plans and specifications for the above <br />project and the estimated cost therefor, Fran Burque <br />seconded it, roll call as follows: Burque, aye; L'Allier, <br />nay; Laska, aye; Murray, aye; Prachar, aye; motion carried. <br />Leon L'Allier wished to be placed on record stating that his <br />- reason for voting nay on motion was that he was not against <br />blacktopping city streets but was against blacktopping portion <br />of Mill Road not included in sewer service area. <br />Hearing adjourned at 755 pm, <br />Re _p. e ully submit ed, <br />u achar, Clerk <br />
