Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of the City of Centerville met on Friday, July 21, 1978 in the Centerville City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: L' Allier, Laska and Murray. Absent: Burque . Purpose of meeting was continuation of public hearing held on July 12 on the street restoration project. Clerk advised council that the City has not received any notifica- tion from HUD as of this date and had been told that the letters on the grant applications would be going out the following week. Elmer Murray made a motion to continue the hearing until July 26, 1978 at 7:30 pm in the City Hall, Floyd Laska seconded i t , motion carried. Mayor Prachar read a letter from Frank Hentge s , 7397 Mill Road, complaining about the conditions on the north end of his street. Mayor Prachar read portions of letter from the Anoka County Historical Society concerning Centerville' s participation in the book being prepared about County history. Elmer Murray made a motion to include information on Centerville history in the book which would consist of 1600 words or approximately $150. a page in cost, Leon L' Allier seconded it, motion carried. Floyd Laska requested a thank you letter be written to School District #12 office thanking them for their participation on the Little League ballfield behind Centerville School. Discussion was held on extending sewer service to James Palmer and John Lundblad homes situated in the middle of Center Oaks Project. Mayor was to get information from engineer on the cost and procedure for two property owners to have the line extended and talk to the owners themselves to get their feelings on the matter.
