Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of the City of Centerville met on Friday, July 21, 1978 <br />in the Centerville City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the <br />meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present were: L' Allier, <br />Laska and Murray. Absent: Burque . <br />Purpose of meeting was continuation of public hearing <br />held on July 12 on the street restoration project. Clerk <br />advised council that the City has not received any notifica- <br />tion from HUD as of this date and had been told that the <br />letters on the grant applications would be going out the <br />following week. Elmer Murray made a motion to continue the <br />hearing until July 26, 1978 at 7:30 pm in the City Hall, <br />Floyd Laska seconded i t , motion carried. <br />Mayor Prachar read a letter from Frank Hentge s , 7397 Mill <br />Road, complaining about the conditions on the north end of <br />his street. <br />Mayor Prachar read portions of letter from the Anoka County <br />Historical Society concerning Centerville' s participation <br />in the book being prepared about County history. Elmer <br />Murray made a motion to include information on Centerville <br />history in the book which would consist of 1600 words or <br />approximately $150. a page in cost, Leon L' Allier seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br />Floyd Laska requested a thank you letter be written to School <br />District #12 office thanking them for their participation <br />on the Little League ballfield behind Centerville School. <br />Discussion was held on extending sewer service to James <br />Palmer and John Lundblad homes situated in the middle of <br />Center Oaks Project. Mayor was to get information from <br />engineer on the cost and procedure for two property owners <br />to have the line extended and talk to the owners themselves <br />to get their feelings on the matter. <br />L' Allier made a motion to adjourn, Floyd Laska seconded <br />otion carried.
