Pursuant to due call and notice thereof , the City Council of the City of Centerville met on Wednesday, December 13, 1978 in the City Hall. Mayor Prachar called the meeting to order at 7:00 Pm. Present were: Burque , L' Allier , Laska, Murray and John Burke, Attorney, Fran Burque made a motion to accept minutes of meeting held November 22, 1978, Floyd Laska seconded it, motion carried. Clerk informed council that consolidation hearing of Lino Lakes and Centerville has been set for January 10, 1979 9:00 AM in the Lino Lakes City Hall. Mayor informed council of meeting to be held on Thursday, December 14, in the Lino Lakes City Hall involving Lino Lakes Council and members of the Rice Creek Watershed Board. Clerk read model Resolution received from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission requesting the City of Centerville to pass the Resolution necessary for the Commission to remain eligible to apply for, receive, and retain federal grants under the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972. Floyd Laska made a motion for the City to adopt Resolution, Elmer Murray seconded i t , motion carried, Copy of Resolution is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Mrs. Laurel Kuchinski appeared before council with letter requesting extension of sewer hook up for her house at 1724 Heritage Street until August of 1980. Letter was taken under advisement by Attorney Burke. Richard Carpenter of 14 East Golden Lake Road appeared before council with request a change in the sanitary sewer assessment number of units in the building at 7095 Centerville Road. After discussion by council, Floyd Laska made a motion to change the number of units on the second floor of the building at 7095 Centerville Road from 3 units to two with one remaining unit on the first floor making a total of 3 units in the building, Leon L' Allier seconded it, motion carried. County Auditor requests the motion be made in the form of a Resolution which is attached to and made a part of these minutes. Paul Curtis of Beulke Agency, Inc. , presented an insurance proposal for the City of Centerville. After much discussion Mr. Curtis will bring amended proposal to the December 27th meeting for the council's action. Floyd Kruger presented council with an annual year end report on the District Memorial Hospital and a copy of their audit as of August 31, 1978• Floyd Kruger presented recommendations to the Council from the Park and Rec committee on items for the skating rink.
