The City Council of the City of Centerville met on Wednesday , <br />April 26, 1978 in the City Hall. Present were: Burque, <br />L' Allier, Peterson, Murray, Attorney Hawkins, Engineer Williams. <br />Continuation of the public hearing on the street restoration <br />project was called to order by Mayor Prachar at 7:10 pm . <br />Clerk read petitions from residents of Mill Road and Brian <br />Street. Petitions are on file with the City Clerk. <br />Engineer Williams presented figures on the project proposed <br />omitting Brian Street, Mill Road and Mound Trail. Discussion <br />was held on the above project. Clerk was presented with petition <br />from Mound Trail residents which she read and is on file with <br />the other peti tions . Clerk was instructed to read the names <br />on the Mill Road petition and two parties wanted their names <br />removed. After much discussion, Mayor Prachar made a motion <br />that the project be constructed as proposed originally, <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, clerk took roll as follows: Peterson, nay, <br />Burque, aye; L' Allier , nay; Murray, aye; Prachar, aye; motion <br />died. Leon L' Allier made a motion to patch the roads making <br />them passable this year, John Peterson seconded it, clerk <br />took roll as follows: Burque, nay; L'Allier, aye; Peterson, <br />aye; Murray, nay; Prachar, nay, motion died. Fran Burque <br />made a motion to go ahead with project omitting Brian Street, <br />John Peterson seconded it, clerk took toll as follows: Burque, <br />aye; L'Allier, nay; Peterson, nay; Murray, aye, Prachar, aye; <br />motion died. Public hearing was adjourned by Mayor Prachar <br />at 8:30 Pm- <br />Mayor <br />m. <br />Mayor Prachar called the regular meeting to order at 8:31 pm. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to approve minutes of April 12 <br />meeting, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />Mayor informed council that a sign has been ordered to put <br />up on the tennis courts listing rules and regulations to <br />follow when the court is being used. <br />Discussion was held on the backstop figures which the clerk <br />had obtained. Consensus was to purchase material for bahk- <br />stop from Metropolitan Fence and clerk was to call the firm <br />concerning the city picking up the material themselves when <br />it is ready for installation. <br />Fran Burque made a motion that the City has no problem with <br />our City Engineer being hired for engineering purposes by <br />developers proposing plats in the City of Centerville, John <br />Peterson seconded it, motion carried. <br />Leon L' Allier made a motion to approve contractor's license <br />for sewer installations in the City of Centerville to Tom <br />Tourville Contracting, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. <br />Discussion was held on letter from the Shade Tree Division <br />of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture concerning <br />transporting diseased elm trees from one city to another. <br />Clerk was to check on- permits which would be needed for <br />the transporting of the trees. <br />
