<br />The City Council of Centerville held their regular <br />meeting Wednesday August 14, 1974 in the City Hall. Mayor <br />Prachar called the meeting to order at 7130 pm. Councilmen <br />present were Fran Burque, John Peterson, Elmer Murray, <br />Leon L'Allier, Clerk Lu Marcello and Attorney William <br />Hawkins. <br />Clerk read minutes of meetings held July 10 and 17, <br />1974. There being no additions or corrections, the minutes <br />stand approved as read. <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />The Telephone company is putting cable on Mill Road <br />and residents want to be sure the road and properties <br />involved are put back in order when they are done. <br />Mr. Frank Zimny was in attendance at meeting on <br />complaint about cars going on LaValle Drive during Rock <br />Concert on JUly 21st. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Dorscher were in attendance complaining <br />on water in their basement from the skating rink. Suggestion <br />to dig ditch along outside of rink and drain the water <br />to the south end of rink to culvert on road might take care <br />of problem. Also complained about policing of streets <br />and noise at all hours of the day and night. Mayor mentioned <br />to them and council that a meeting will be held on Thursday <br />August 22 at Lino Lakes City Hall for the Lino and Centerville <br />councils to go over full time police protection program and <br />a public hearing would be held on same on Monday, August 26 <br />at Lino Lakes City Hall. <br />Lew Hendricks, Tree Inspector, brought the council up <br />to date on the Dutch Elm disease situation in the city. <br />He also wanted council to provide a place to burn trees. <br />Leon L'Allier made a motion for LeRoy Houle and Jerry Stevens <br />to take the tree from behind the Trio EIHK 'Inn, Fran Burque <br />seconded it, motion carried. Messrs. HOule and PeterBon5feve~~ <br />will also contact Everhard about taking care of his diseased <br />trees in Center Oaks. Elmer Murray made a motion that Mayor <br />Prachar be given authority to proceed with whatever procedure <br />is necessary to handle the Everhard Center Oaks diseased trees, <br />Leon L'Allier seconded it, motion carried. <br />
