<br />-~.~ <br />~ ~-~\ <br /> <br />The City Council of Centerville held their regular meeting on <br />Wednesday, November 13th, 1974 in the City Hall. Mayor Prabhar <br />called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Councilmen present were <br />Burque, Peterson, L'Allier, Murray and Attorney Hawkins. <br /> <br />Clerk read the minutes of meeting hel~ October 9, 1974. <br />Elmer Murray made a motion to amend the motion that Joseph LaCasse <br />be paid $500 for 1976 assessing job providing he passes his state <br />certification, Fran Burque seconded it, motion carried. Fran <br />Burque made a motion to accent minutes as read, John Peterson <br />seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Fran Burque ,^,ill call La"alle for load of gravel to be spread <br />by Jack Herdina's mail box on Brian Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Hawkins read letter from Mr. Hiniker of Meyer and HIniker <br />advising us Parent-Schilling are not going ahead with plans for <br />housing development on Mill Road at this time. John Peterson made <br />a motion to initiate an action against Parent-Schilling to collect <br />the monies in the amount of $296.75 due the city of Centerville, <br />Elmer Murray seconded it, motion carried. <br /> <br />Lino Lakes natrolman brought in Lino ann Centerville police <br />reports for October. <br /> <br />North Central rate increase. A third letter dated November <br />5, 1974 has been received now stating that as of December 1, 1974 <br />a gas rate increase of approximately $6.80 per year for residential <br />user would be initiated. <br /> <br />Mayor read letter written to Mr. Welsch advising him as to the <br />state of disrepair on his building located on Centerville Road. <br />As of this date, we have received no answer to letter. Matter was <br />tabled until next meeting. <br /> <br />All members of council has received copy of letter from <br />Bob Burman on the county radio system. <br /> <br />Clerk has received letter from City of St. Paul asking us <br />for Rupport in fighting the NSP rate increase. Also a letter was <br />received from the Lea~ue of Minn. Municipalities stating that a <br />meetin~ would be held on Saturday, November 21 at the St. Paul <br />Hotel to explore the al terna ti ve courses of action '^.7hich are open <br />to us as one of the affected cities. Mayor i~ to attend meeting. <br /> <br />pqayor read letter from Able Building Systems advising us <br />they would dismantle their display building on November 11. As <br />of this date, the building stills stands. Leon L'Allier made a <br />motion that Hawkins take over matter, Elmer Murray seconded it, <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />There was a discussion on the open meeting law. <br /> <br />Mayor read portions of letter from Metro Council advising us <br />of a public hearing on proposed recreation open space development <br />guide policy plan on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:00 pm in the metro <br />~ouneil <<hambers. <br />
