<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />August 28, 1991 at the City Hall. Mayor Buckbee called the <br />meeting to order at 7:04 p.m. Present: Burgstahler, Daria, <br />Pelton, Wilharber. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Center Hills Second Addition <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Dario to table the discussion of <br />Center Hills, Second Addition sewer and water lines along 20th <br />Avenue North with regard to the Developer's request for credit, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Dario to table the adoption of <br />the Assessment Roll of the Center Hills, Second Addition, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, was present to discuss the partial <br />pay estimate to Ro-So Contracting, Inc. Mr. Stewart advised that <br />the contractor is doing an excellent job and is very attentive to <br />soil condi t.ions . <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario to approve partial pay estimate <br />#2 for Ro-So Contracting, Inc. for the Center Hills, Second <br />Addition, in the amount of $71,417.00 of which $6,984.33 is being <br />retained, the amount due to the Contractor is $64,432.67, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Sorel Street/Goiffon Road Sewer UDdate <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, was present to update the City <br />Council on the Sorel Street/Goiffon Road Sewer project. Mr. <br />Stewart advised that the Contractor has extended the tile and it <br />is now draining. The tile has been covered and final grading <br />will be completed tomorrow. He advised that the drainage will <br />occur over a minimum two week time period. <br /> <br />Sidewalk Alon~ Pro~ress Road to Centerville Elementary School <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, was present. He discussed a letter <br />dated August 21, 1991 regarding Centerville Elementary School <br />walking path. The letter 18 on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />The letter discussed three options: <br />#1 Re-locating the three phase power lines and <br />removing trees to locate the sidewalk behind the <br />bituminous curb on the east side of Progress Road. <br />#2 Locating the sidewalk on the east side of the <br />eastern curb on Progress Road and widening the <br />s t.I'eet wes t. i-l a I'd . <br />#3 Locating the sidewalk on the west side of Progress <br />Road in the School District parking lot boulevard. <br />
