<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof the City Council of the <br />City of Centerville held their regular meeting on Wednesday, <br />August 14, 1991 at the City Hall. Mayor Buckbee called the <br />meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Present: Dario, Pelton, <br />Wilharber. Absent: Burgstahler. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Dario to approve the July 10, 1991 <br />City Council meeting minutes, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Pelton to approve the July 11, <br />1991 Proposed Flood Plain Reduction Assessment Hearing, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber to approve the July 24, <br />1991 City Council meeting minutes, Aye - Buckbee; Aye - Pelton; <br />Aye - Wilharberj Abstain - Dario, motion carried. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br /> <br />Circle Pines/Lexington Police Chief David VanBurkleo <br />Circle Pines/Lexington Police Chief David VanBurkleo was present <br />to give an update to the City Council regarding police services. <br /> <br />Mayor Buckbee thanked the Circle <br />Department for their efforts during the <br />incident. <br /> <br />Pines/Lexington Police <br />recent Trippel's Market <br /> <br />Council member Dario thanked the Circle Pines/Lexington Police <br />Department for their assistance with the City Celebration. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton thanked the Circle Pines/Lexington Police <br />Chief David VanBurkleo for his assistance as Co-Chairperson to <br />the Centerville Civil Defense and thanked him for his assistance <br />in implementing a new Centerville Civil Defense Siren. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Pro90sed Flood Elain Reduction Proiect <br />Mayor Buckbee commended the Center Oaks II residents for the <br />tremendous effort they had put forth to present documentation to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />The following audience members asked questions and expressed <br />opinion regarding the proposed Flood Plain Reduction Project: <br />Tom Bajda - 1902 Center Street <br />Tom Opitz - 6923 Sumac Court <br />Bruce Jarvis - 6933 Sumac Court <br />Cherylann Steele - 6926 Sumac Court <br /> <br />The City Council discussed a letter dated July 31, 1991 from John <br />Stewart, City Engineer, which presented survey information. <br />
