<br />r-~~ _H_ ~-- <br /> <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />Al.lgUSt 14, 1991 <br />page two <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario that subject to further review <br />they acknowledge receipt of the survey dated July 23, 1991 as <br />presented in the July 31, 1991 letter from Maier, Stewart and <br />Associates, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A copy of the July 31, 1991 letter containing the July 23, 1991 <br />survey results from John Stewart, City Engineer, is on file with <br />the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario to direct City Staff to return <br />the Contract's Bid Bond with regard to the Proposed Flood Plain <br />Reduction Project, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber to authorize a meeting with <br />the City Attorney, the City Engineer, City Staff and Engineering <br />Liaisons to discuss future assessment methodology and make <br />recommendation on how to proceed with the project, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Engineer presented a letter dated July 31, 1991 which <br />makes recommendations of appropriate dates to address the <br />proposed Flood Plain Reduction Project progress. <br /> <br />A copy of this letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Cherlyann Steele, 6926 Sumac Court, inquired into as to whether <br />the City Council was properly addressing Minnesota State Statute <br />l06A741. A copy of the Statute was not presented to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator advised that she would confer with the <br />City Attorney regarding the Statute. <br /> <br />Ms. Steele advised that she would like to see the houses in <br />Center Oaks II made in compliance with the flood plain <br />regulations and that residents of Center Oaks II would like to be <br />included in this decision making process of the proposed Flood <br />Plain Reduction Project. <br /> <br />Motion by Buckbee, second by Wilharber to table further <br />discussion of the proposed Flood Plain Reduction Project until <br />after the City Attorney, City Engineer, City Staff and Engineers <br />Liaisons are able to discuss the project and make recommendations <br />to the City Council, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Center Hills First Addition Re-Assessment <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Pelton to table discussion of the <br />C~nt@f H1118 rlf~~ Ad~i'!@8 ~f8jes@g f@=~~~@~sm@Ht~ m8~18H__~ <br />carried unanimously. <br />
