<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 14, 1991 <br />page eight <br /> <br />regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, <br />repair, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy, equipment use <br />height area and maintenance of all building and or structures in <br />the City of Centerville and providing the penalties for the <br />violation thereof, appealing Ordinance IXX of the City of <br />Centerville. <br /> <br />Well/Tower Site <br />It was noted that the site on the east side of 20th Avenue North, <br />directly south of the Industrial Park, would be a minimum five <br />(5) acre parcel. Three (3) acres would be required for the water <br />tower to meet City setbacks. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton suggested that the Industrial Park site may <br />be acceptable to the City but had a feeling that the Fire <br />Department may not be agreeable with regard to response time. <br />She advised that the Industrial Park site may be an advantage <br />with regard to an alternative power source (Anoka County <br />Electric). <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber inquired whether the City could sell <br />park land on Cedar Street to generate dollars for the purchase. <br /> <br />The Clerk/Administrator will check with the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Peddlers/Transient Sales Ordinance <br />Motion by Wilharber, second by Buckbee to table the proposed <br />Peddlers/Transient Sales Ordinance, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />North Metro Recreation Commission Re9resentative <br />It was noted that this person would be taking over a lot of the <br />responsibilities of the Park and Recreation Committee. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario to direct that the Park and <br />Recreation Committee conduct interviews of the two applicants and <br />submit their recommendation to the City Council for appointment <br />at the August 28, 1991 City Council meeting, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Proposed Budget <br />It was noted that the Planning and Zoning Commission had budgeted <br />$2,300.00 in 1991. They currently have approximately $3,900.00 <br />in reserves. They would like to help cut expenditure by <br />budgeting only $1,500.00 for 1992 year. Monies not utilized for <br />Planning and Zoning Commission would be utilized for Attorney <br />review of Ordinances #4 and #8. The Commission is also saving <br />monies for future codification of City Ordinances. <br />
