The Circle Pines/Lexington
Police Department does a lot of patrolling within the City of
Centerville. A police officer, while patrolling, noticed
suspicious activity involving a snowmobile and was able to
prevent a theft and a criminal investigation is in process.
Anoka County in cooperation with the Circle Pines/Lexington
Police Department (and other local law enforcement agencies) had
a snowmobile crack down and issued approximately 40 tickets.

City Staff noted that a resident did come to City Hall to get a
copy of the City's Snowmobile Ordinance #17-A. The resident
noted that he had been issued a citation for driving his
snowmobile on the City streets. The resident stated that he has
never been issued a ticket before.

The City Council noted that the Snowmobile Ordinance #17-A should
be summarized in the next City Newsletter.

Mayor Buckbee noted that he continues
back about the contract for police
Pines/Lexington Police Department.

to receive positive feed
services with the Circle

The City Council thanked Mr. Henderson for his update.

OLD BUSINESS

Munici9al Building - Purchase AQreement Architect Contract-
Construction Mana~er Contract
The City Council discussed a letter dated December 10, 1991 from
Joe Marshall, Marshall and Associates, attorney for Russell
Almendinger. A copy of this letter is on file with the
Clerk/Administrator.

Council member Burgstahler suggested that the City Council give
the Mayor and Clerk/Administrator authority to complete the
purchase agreement contingent upon Mr. Almendinger dropping his
request for payment of pending assessment for the entire 73
acres. If an agreement can not be reached the City should stay
with the present site. Mr. Burgstahler noted that if Mr.
Almendinger wants more money he should ask.
