<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 11, 1991 <br />Page Seven <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler noted that the City Council has <br />requested that the Park and Recreation Committee submit a line <br />item budget, not just a total dollar amount. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Renew Contract with City Auditor <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to renew the contract <br />with Abdo, Abdo & Eich for a dollar amount of $5,225 for the 1991 <br />audit, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council member Burgstahler noted that the Clerk/Administrator had <br />done an excellent job in negotiating the contract dollar amount <br />for the contract with the City Auditor. <br /> <br />Collection Systems O~erator Seminar/Certification <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Dario to approve the attendance of <br />Dale Larson and Robert Barron at the Collection Systems Operator <br />Seminar/Certification on January 22 - 24, 1992, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Don Qpo - Request to Remove Pigeons <br />Progress Road <br />The City Council reviewed Mr. Opp's <br />December 9, 1991 requesting permission to <br />property located at 7124 Progress Road <br />gun. A copy of this request is <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />with B.B. Gun at 7124 <br /> <br />written request dated <br />remove pigeons from his <br />with the use of a B.B. <br />on file with the <br /> <br />David VanBurkleo, Circle Pines/Lexington Police Chief, sent a <br />memo date December 10, 1991 regarding the B.B. gun situation. <br />Chief VanBurkleo expressed hesitation in allowing such a practice <br />near the elementary school and suggested that Mr. Opp use other <br />options such as trapping or the use of commercial poisons. A <br />copy of the memo is on file with the Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber to deny Don Opp's request <br />to remove pigeons with the use of a B.B. gun at his property <br />located at 7124 Progress Road, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Council requests that City Staff contact the Police <br />Department and notify them of the Council's decision. <br /> <br />PAYMENT OF CLAIMS <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second <br />payment of claims for the City <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />by Buckbee to approve the current <br />of Centerville, motion carried <br />
