<br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 13, 1991 <br />p,9.ge trlree <br /> <br />Council member Wilharber noted that at the intersection of Mill <br />Road and Peltier Lake Drive a similar infiltration correction was <br />made prior to 1987. <br /> <br />Council member Pelton questioned whether sump pumps should be <br />required by the City in new buildings. <br /> <br />City Staff shall consult Building Inspector, Gunnar Pettersen, as <br />to what other cities do with regard to sump pumps. City Staff <br />shall also contact Mr. Pettersen to ask if he could put together <br />a "how-to" list regarding the sump pumps for the City Newsletter. <br /> <br />John Stewart, City Engineer, advised that out eighty (80) cities <br />surveyed Centerville is the ninth (9) highest with regard to <br />inflow. <br /> <br />Motion by Pelton, second by Wilharber to direct Maier, Stewart <br />and Associates to complete: <br />1. Obtain and analyze MWCC records; <br />2. Write a report <br />as identify on the November 4, 1991 letter to the City of <br />Centerville, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />St. Genevieve's Request for Handica9 Parkin~ on Goiffon Road <br />The St. Genevieve Church made a request to the City of <br />Centerville to implement four handicap parking spaces on the east <br />side of Goiffon Road nearest the Church building. <br /> <br />A copy of St. Genevieve Church's request is on file with the <br />Clerk/Administrator. <br /> <br />Mary Jane Lang, 1557 Peltier Lake Drive, expressed concern <br />regarding the handicap parking spaces. <br /> <br />The City Council considered input from the City Building <br />Inspector, City Attorney and City Engineer. <br /> <br />Motion by Burgstahler, second by Wilharber to direct City Staff <br />to respond to the St. Genevieve's Church to indicate that <br />they have been advised by the City Attorney and City <br />Engineer that if the request for the handicap parking spaces <br />were approved on Goiffon Road as proposed it could <br />potentially provide a liability problem for the City; <br />the Church shall be advised that there may be other <br />options to consider such as designating handicap <br />parking spaces within the parking lot on the west side <br />of Goiffon Road, allowing handicap parking on the ramp <br />~r~a on the east side of Golffon Road, the St. <br />~@ft@Vi@V@ @BHfSH sSHIe fe~He~t tR8t tB~ ~tF~~t B~ <br />widened at their expense, the St. G~n~vi~v~ Chur@h <br />
