The feasibility study identified general
tasks and the estimated cost for such a feasibility study. A
copy of this letter is on file with the Clerk/Administrator.

Motion by Wilharber, second by Dario to not authorize for work to
be completed on a feasibility study for second municipal well
until such time the City Council is confident of the site
location of said well, motion carried unanimously.

Metropolitan Waste Control Commission - Inflow and Infiltration
The City Council reviewed letters from Maier, Stewart and
Associates dated September 17, 1991 and November 4, 1991
regarding Inflow and Infiltration studies conducted by the
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission. A copy of the letters
dated September 17, 1991 and November 4, 1991 from Maier, Stewart
and Associates are on file with the Clerk/Administrator.

The Clerk/Administrator also contacted Don Blum of the
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission to try to determine the
potential financial impact of the Inflow and Infiltration on the
City of Centerville. Through the conversation with Mr. Blum it
had appeared that the City of Centerville could be paying
anywhere from $16,000.00 to $20,000.00 per year for inflow and
infiltration. Any measures to attempt the problems could
possibly move $5,000.00 to $8,000.00 per year of the
inflow/infiltration out of the sewer system.

Maier, Stewart and Associates identified a time line and tasks
that could be performed to work towards elimination of some of
the inflow and infiltration.

Council member Burgstahler suggested that it may be possible that
the City may be able to reduce the costs by doing some of the
work themselves. He also noted that many of the sewers within
the City are newer and that the problems should be in the older
areas.
