<br />Mr. Palzer presented brochures regarding the proposed plow for review. The quotes were <br />put together through the State Bid Package process. There are two (2) separate quotes, <br />one for the plow truck and one for the body, plow and sander. Mr. Palzer anticipates that <br />the vehicle will last 20 or 25 years. Mr. Palzer asked for an additional $321 for a hitch <br />system. <br /> <br />Mr. Palzer stated that the quote from J-Craft is good through the end of March. Mr. <br />Palzer stated that Ford Motor Company allocates a certain number of vehicles for this <br />type of use and they were out of vehicles by February last year. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned when the City would receive the truck. Mr. Palzer <br />stated it takes between four (4) and five (5) months. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned where the truck would be purchased. Mr. <br />Palzer explained the truck would be purchased from Boyer Trucks and the body and plow <br />package would be purchased from J-Craft. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson left the meeting at 9:08 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Swedber!!:. seconded by Council Member Nelson to purchase the <br />2001 Ford Sterlin!!: Plow/Sand Truck as presented not to exceed $90.000 plus tax. <br />freil!:ht and license. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned the color of the truck. Mr. Palzer <br />indicated it would be blue. <br /> <br />10. Resignation of Earl Fleischman - Public Works Vacancy <br /> <br />Mr. March asked Council to acknowledge and accept the resignation of Mr. Earl <br />Fleischman. Mr. March and Mr. Palzer have discussed filling the vacancy and propose <br />looking at the list of candidates from the last round of interviews. Mr. March noted he <br />would like to contact the second place candidate to see it the individual would still be <br />interested. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to accept the resi!!:nation of Mr. Earl Fleischman. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. Special Use Permit Renewals <br /> <br />Mr. March explained Council renews the Special Use Permits on an annual basis. There <br />have been no complaints concerning any of the businesses operating under Special Use <br />Permits. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded by Council Member <br />Travis to approve the Special Use Permit renewals as presented.
